Ashur’s Little Circle

Program: Ashur’s Little Circle – a playtime program hosted by the Assyrian American Cultural Organization

  • Schedule: Tuesdays, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM

    • Duration: 10-week program

    • Start and End Date: February 24, 2026 - April 28, 2026

  • Location:
    Assyrian Community Center
    13601 N 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029

  • Activities:

    • Open Play- Where children can play independently and familiarize themselves with their environment and peers.

    • Story Time- Each week, coordinators will read stories to the children that will be translated in Assyrian.

    • Imaginary Play- Coordinators will create weekly games for children to play together along with their caregiver using their imagination.

    • Assyrian Language Time- Children will be introduced to basic Assyrian words and phrases through play, repetition, and everyday interactions.

    • Assyrian Children’s Songs- Children will be taught common children’s songs in Assyrian.

  • Food & Beverages:

    • Coffee, tea, and water will be provided

    • Families are encouraged to bring their own breakfast and snacks

  • Ages:

    • Children 0–3 years

    • Children over 3 years may enroll if they have a younger sibling enrolled in the program

  • Caregiver Requirement:

    • Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver

  • Pricing:

    • AACO Members: $40 per child (email parentengagement@assyrianamerican.org to receive a member discount code before registering)

    • Non-Members: $70 per child

    • Must register by February 14, 2026
