Employee Matching Gift Program

Did you know many companies offer a matching gift program to encourage philanthropy among their employees?  And that some companies will even match to spouses and retirees?

By simply completing a matching gift form (on-line or paper), you may be able to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift!

FAQs

What are employee matching gift programs?  Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations.   It's an easy way to double your contribution to us!

How do I request a matching gift? Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process which must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process. 

What if I still have questions?  For questions regarding your company's programs, please contact your employer's HR or community giving department. Much of the necessary information is also available on your company’s website.

What does a 2:1 match mean? A 2:1 match means that for every contribution that you make, your company will write a check to the organization for double the amount. For example, if you donate $100, your company will contribute double, i.e., $200 to the organization in the case of a 2:1 match.

What are volunteer grants? Volunteer grants are corporate giving programs that encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work. Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees regularly volunteer.
